The KIIT School of Computer Application, established in 1997, focuses on contemporary and cutting-edge computer applications. The school has modern facilities which include IBM e-server series, thin client server and storage area network among others. The school offers three-year undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in computer application.

This School earlier known as the MCA Department comprised only MCA Students, with the introduction of BCA course in 2007 the Department was changed and named School of Computer Application. Presently both these courses are being taught by this department.

The MCA department worked from the Kathajodi Campus but now has been given a separate campus and is fully functional from the Koel Campus which also houses the Admission Section, School of Fashion Technology and School of Film Production. Koel Campus, also known as Campus 1, has all the amenities required for the day-to-day functioning of the School. Air conditioned classrooms and Labs, an auditorium, conference hall, students activity room and a hygienic canteen are some of the benefits students reap.
