KLMP (88.3 FM), known as "The Light", is a radio station in Rapid City, South Dakota airing a Christian format.

History

KLMP signed onto the air in 1968 as KVSR-FM, which stood for "Keep Voicing the Savior’s Redemption". After a change of ownership in 1992, the call letters were changed to KLMP. In 2002, the main transmitter was moved from Skyline Drive in Rapid City to Terry Peak, expanding the coverage area. On April 2, 2007 KLMP moved to 88.3 FM, swapping frequencies with KTPT, which is now on 97.9 FM.
