KMSM-FM (103.9 FM) is a radio station licensed to serve Butte, Montana. The station is owned by The Associated Students of Montana Tech. It airs a Variety format.[1]
The station was assigned the KMSM-FM call letters by the Federal Communications Commission on January 3, 1973.[2]
The station was formerly broadcast at a frequency of 106.9 but was changed into 107.1 in 2003. It was changed to 103.9 in August 2011.
A DJ promotional record with KMSM FM 91.5 (from 1976) written on it, may elude to an earlier broadcast frequency.
Associated Students of Montana Tech run and maintain the station.
