KPRE (89.9 FM) is a radio station licensed to Vail, Colorado. The station is owned by Colorado Public Radio, and carries programming from CPR's all-news network.
The station signed on in 1994, replacing a translator that had served Vail since 1992. For some years after CPR split into separate news and classical music networks in 2001, it continued to air a mix of NPR and classical programming. However, after CPR added a translator of the classical network, KPRE switched to the news network full time.
