KRKC FM/AM has been owned by King City Communications Corporation since 1982. KC102 plays current Hot A/C rock music and a mix of classic hits from the past 25 years. KC102 also covers Northern San Luis Obispo County and portions of Fresno and Kings County in Central California.

Michael Davis is a former Music Director and on air DJ at KNAC/Los Angeles and was also Music Director/DJ at KFMG/Albuquerque. 21 year station vet Jim Barker retired in Feb 2016. Other DJs on KC102 include Venetia in the morning and Zann in the evenings. Former KSBW-TV/Monterey (NBC) weather personality Jim Vanderzwaan provides forecast updates. Friday nights at 5 PM (during football season) is the NFL predictions feature with Michael Davis and Lola Berlin. That show, with Davis and Berlin concluded it's tenth season on KC102 as of February 2016. Lola Berlin has become a year round cast member with Michael Davis on the 5PM-7PM show.
