KTIQ (1660 AM) is a radio station licensed to Merced, California, USA, the station serves the Merced area. The station is currently owned by Mapleton License of Merced, LLC.[1]
History
The station was assigned the KAXW call letters on 1998-01-09. On 2002-02-12, the station changed its call sign to the current KTIQ.[2]
According to the latest Arbitron ratings as published in Radio and Records (see below), this was a sports radio station called "The Ticket" (indicated by the letters "TIQ"), until some time in late 2007/early 2008, when the station became a Spanish religious station as "Amistad Christiana".
On March 16th, 2016, KBRE's old active/alternative rock format moved to KTIQ as "105.7 The Bear", adopting in its branding the use of its new translator K289CB Los Banos.
