KXMO-FM is a radio station airing an Oldies format licensed to Owensville, Missouri, broadcasting on 95.3 MHz FM. The station is owned by KTTR-KZNN, Inc.[1]
History
The station that would become KXMO 95.3 began life as KZBR 95.3, a top-40 station known as "The Zebra." The station mostly served Owensville and Cuba and was quickly sold. The new owners switched its format to satellite oldies as KLZE. The oldies format would last 3-4 years before the station would switch to the Radio AAHS children's format before falling silent shortly afterward. The 95.3 signal would remain silent for several years before being auctioned to new owners as a new construction permit. The new owners would launch the new station as oldies KXMO 95.3.
