KZMT (101.1 FM) is a radio station licensed to serve Helena, Montana. The station is owned by Cherry Creek Radio and licensed to CCR-Helena IV, LLC. It airs a Classic rock music format.[2]
The station was assigned the KZMT call letters by the Federal Communications Commission on October 8, 1984.[1]
In 2014, KZMT dropped the Dial Global syndicated Classic Rock programming in favor of personality and heavy attitude laden local programming delivered by Stan Evans and former-Operations Manager Steve King, with the only exception being the regional syndication of Classic Rock sister (Z100 Missoula) morning show Brian and Chris. At this point, station added in local features such as "Stan's Stash" (a nod to midday personality, Stan Evan's propensity to dip into the deep tracks), Lunch Blox at noon (2-fers all hour long), The Dumbass of the Day at 3:20pm, The 4 o'clock Haircut, The 5 o'clock Work Release Program, Get the Led Out at 6pm, The 80s at 8, Live @ 9, High Voltage at 10pm (in honor of AC/DC) and Mandatory Metallica at 11pm.
