K-Zone is a two storey shopping mall complex in the vicinity of the Kapuwatta suburb area of Ja-Ela.The mall currently attracts people from all areas especially from the Gampaha and Puttalam Districts to shop flexibly instead of travelling to Colombo. The shopping mall has stores of main institutions such as Abans, Singer, Etisalat, Hameedia etc. The mall gains its popularity as being the first ever mall in the Gampaha district to provide a drive thru ATM for transactions which are maintained by the Commercial Bank of Sri Lanka.The mall recently opened its new cineplex called Vista Lite which was drafted in order to compete with its rival Cinemax in the Realty Plaza.

Development

K-Zone has received a significant amount of customer flow within the past two years, due to the arrival of new institutions of business such as ODEL, Dilly and Carlo, Sothys etc

Construction

The plan for the building was designed in 2011 and the contructions took place within 2012-13. The building was opened to the public in October 2013.[1]
