Kanga League 2009

The 2009 Kanga League Season was a cricket event sponsored by the STRATEGEN company.This was the Mumbai's premier annual domestic club cricket(first-class) tournament of Dr HD Kanga Cricket League.[1][2]

The competition started with a round-robin group stage within 7 Division, in which each of the 14 teams played a home match and an away match against every other team. After completion of these matches highest points earned by team in that Division declared as winner of Kanga League 2009 Season. For Division 'A' the prestigious Batton goes to Greater Mumbai Police Sports Club who earned 16 points in total.

Rules and regulations

Points shall be awarded as per the table mentioned below:

For a tie where both teams have completed two innings2 points each
For a tie on first inning and no outright result1 point each
Drawn match with no first innings result provided at least 1 hour of actual play has taken place or 13 overs are bowled, whichever is earlier 1 point each
Match abandoned without a ball being bowled Match called off by the Umpires on the ground or less than 1 hour's play takes place or less than 13 overs are bowled No points
