Karadiya Rajputs

The Karadiya Rajputs (sometimes spelled Karadia) are an Indian caste belonging to the Rajput community. They are found in the Saurashtra region of Gujarat state.

The Karadiyas are classified as karadiya because they have paid tax; "kar+diya" means "tax diya". Like other rajputs Karadiya Rajputs have also migrated from rajasthan to saurashtra. In saurashtra Some surnames of 36 rajput rajvansh like DODIYA,DAHIMA, MORI, BHATTI (Bhati), TUVAR (TANWAR), JADAV, SINDHAV,NAKUM etc found in only & only karadiya rajput/nadoda rajput. Dodiya have association with sardargadh state (rajasthan) and piploda state(madhya pradesh); because dodiya of sardargadh state(rajasthan) and piploda state (madhya pradesh) are basically from junagadh later they had migrated from junagadh(suarashtra). King Aparji Dodiya was karadiya rajput and he was chief sardar of Raa mandlik(chudasama king) who was king of junagadh. MORI have association with the great maharaja baapa rawal(king of mevad); because MORI were maternal uncle (mama) of bappa rawal. King Maansinh mori had kingdom in saurashtra region and he was maternal uncle(mama) of bappa rawal. So mori rajputs are found near wadhwan (surendranagar) and they are karadiya rajputs. BHATTI(bhati) are yaduvanshi rajput who are descendants of lord krishna.Bhatti(bhati) rajputs are found in saurashtra,ramaharaj , utterpradesh(gokul-mathura). Same way JADAV are also yaduvanshi rajput.Because word JADAV has been derived from Jadu/ Yadu. Mahaveer ramdevji maharaj (rama- peer) was Tanwar(Tuvar is apbhransh/ synonyms word of Tanwar). Sindhav are desendants of King pushpadev sendhav (sindhav); who was also famous rajput king. Nakum is apbhransh/synonyms of NIKUMBH; nikumbh is branch of rajasthan's rajput. Dahima branch of rajput is found in karadiya rajput and also in rajputs of rajasthan.
