Kareem Jamar (born October 16, 1992) is an American basketball player, who recently completed his college career at the University of Montana where in 2013 he was named an honorable mention All-American and Big Sky Conference Player of the Year.

High school

Jamar played high school basketball at Westchester High School in Los Angeles, where he was a key player on two California state championship teams.[1]

College career

For college, he chose Montana and coach Wayne Tinkle. As a freshman, started 18 games and averaged 8.1 points and 4.8 rebounds per game as the Grizzlies went to the 2011 College Basketball Invitational. As a sophomore in 2011–12, Jamar became one of the top players in the Big Sky Conference. He increased his output to 13.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game. Jamar made the all conference team and led the Grizzlies to the NCAA Tournament.[1]

In his junior season, Jamar led the Grizzlies to 25 wins and a second straight NCAA Tournament appearance. He averaged 14.2 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4 assists per game. At the close of the season, he was named Big Sky Player of the Year[2] and an Associated Press honorable mention All-American.[3]
