Kargılı is a village in Tarsus district of Mersin Province, Turkey. It is situated at 36°56′N 35°04′E / 36.933°N 35.067°E in Çukurova (Cilicia of the antiquity) to the east of Tarsus and to the south of Turkish state highway . Its distance to Tarsus is 20 kilometres (12 mi) and to Mersin is 47 kilometres (29 mi). The population of Kargılı was 816 [1] as of 2012. The new airpost of the region, namely Çukurova Airport is planned to be constracted between Çiçekli and Kargılı .
