Karishma Tanna (/kərɪʃmɑː təˈnɑ; born 21 December 1983)[3][4][1] is an Indian film actress, model and anchor who predominantly works in Hindi films and shows.
After her Bollywood debut Grand Masti (2013), she is awaiting for the release of her next film Tina & Lolo (2016), which also features Sunny Leone.[5] She also participated in the reality show Bigg Boss 8. She has been in a relationship with actor Upen Patel since 2015.[2]
Career
Television (2000–present)
Tanna appeared in Balaji Telefilms' soap opera Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi[6] (July 2000 - November 2008), where she played the character Indu.[7][8]
She appeared in Balaji Telefilms' drama production, Kahi To Milenge (November 2002 - 2003).[9]
Tanna worked as the female lead for the TV series Koi Dil Mein Hai (December 2003 - February 2005) as Krutika.[10] Tanna signed up with project while still working for Kyunki Saas bhi kabhi bahu thi, as her role in Kyunki was not that of a major character. Moreover, Kkoi Dil Mein Hai was a weekly show.[10]
Tanna worked for the TV program Ek Ladki Anjaani Si (November 2005 – September 2007) playing the negative character Ayesha.[11]
Tanna was also part of Rajshri Productions show Pyaar Ke Do Naam: Ek Raadha, Ek Shyaam (April 2006 – September 2006).[12][13]
BR Films signed her up for their drama TV series, Viraasat (June 2006 – July 2007).[12] She played the role of Natasha, a secretary.[14]

Tanna participated in stage-based comedy TV series Comedy Circus that started in June 2007.[15] She later came back in Comedy Circus Mahasangram in February 2010.[16]
Tanna hosted a magic-based reality TV show, India's Magic Star, that went on air in July 2010.[17][18] She has also acted in the childrens television program, Baal Veer (October 2012 – ), playing the role of Rani Pari.[19]
Tanna was the first runner up on a celebrity reality TV show, Bigg Boss 8, which started airing in September 2014.[20][21]
In September 2006, Tanna made her theater debut with the Hinglish farce/romantic comedy Perfect Wedding, directed by Vandana Sajnani. The work was adapted from Robin Howdon's British play of the same name.[12][22]
Debut in films (2005–present)
Tanna made her Bollywood debut with the December 2005 film Dosti: Friends Forever, playing the role of Nandini Thapar.
Tanna's second film was a Kannada language movie, I Am Sorry Mathe Banni Preethsona, which was released in June 2011. Tanna played the lead actress role of Chethana.[23]
In September 2013, Grand Masti, a Bollywood sex comedy and a sequel to April 2004 film, Masti was released.[24]
Tanna has signed for Tina and Lolo. Tanna's character had been earlier offered to Minissha Lamba, but Lamba opted out as the script required her kissing Sunny Leone.[25]
Tanna has acted in several television advertisements, including for Stayfree, Lifebuoy and Nirma.[26]
