Karpal Singh Drive or Persiaran Karpal Singh (Tamil: கர்பால் சிங் சுற்றுலா) is a seaside promanade at Bandar Sri Pinang Jelutong, Penang. It was famously known as Seaview among local, collectively known as the IJM Promenade.[1]
The promenade was renamed after the late Karpal Singh, Malaysia famous politician and lawyer.[2][3] This makes Karpal Singh, who was popularly called the Tiger of Jelutong, the first leader of the Democratic Action Party to be honoured with a street name on Penang Island
Attraction
The promenade at Karpal Singh Drive features a 10-meter walkway beautified with several modern-art sculptures.These sculptures are the work on Hitori Nakayama, a Japanese artist who has been residing in Penang for the past twenty years. Attraction at Karpal Singh Drive are :

The first ever new year celebration for year 2015 were held at Auto mall.
Penang Flotilla
The Penang Flotilla, overall champion in the 1-Malaysia International Tourism Night Floral Parade, was installed at Karpal Singh Drive for the view pleasure of the public
Ubah Bird
The Ubah di Air bird mascot was launched at the Karpal Singh Drive. It became the mascot for the Democratic Action Party during 2013 Malaysian general election.
