Karun Kaladharan Nair (Malayalam: കരുണ് നായര്) (born 6 December 1991) is an Indian cricketer who plays for Karnataka. He is a right-hand batsman and off break bowler. He was a member of Royal Challengers Bangalore squad in 2013 Indian Premier League. In the 2014 IPL auction, he was signed-up by the Rajasthan Royals.

He has represented Delhi Daredevils, India A, India Under-19s, Karnataka, Karnataka State Cricket Association Colts XI, Karnataka State Cricket Association XI, Karnataka Under-15s, Karnataka Under-19s, Mangalore United, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, South Zone.

Career

At the 2014 IPL, Nair had a bad debut for Rajasthan Royals with a score of 1. He continued in the next match and scored 8. In his third match, he scored 73 not out facing 50 deliveries and took Rajasthan to a victory against Delhi Daredevils. He added one more fifty to his name against Chennai and also scored 48 against Mumbai Indians.

For Karnataka in the final of the Ranji Trophy in 2014-15, he made 328 in 560 balls making many records. He batted from late on the first day till early on the fourth day. Karnataka made 762 and beat Tamil Nadu by an innings and 217 runs.[1]
