Karuthamuthu ( black pearl) is an Indian television series which launched on Asianet. Rincy and Kishore Sathya plays as the main protagonists of the series.[1] Show was launched in 2014 replacing Kailasanathan at 10 pm , Later shifted to 7:30pm shuffling the schedule of Sthreedhanam to 10 pm.This show is a spin off of the show Kumkumapoovu .

Plot

The story revolves around the life of Karthika, a dark-skinned and pure hearten girl. She passing through several circumstances socially and mentally only due to her dark-skin. She finally gets married to a Doctor, Balachandran who becomes a good hearten husband to her and supports her in each and every issues she faces and they are blessed with a cute and lovely baby girl, Balachandrika. The series takes a twist with Bala's arrival to Kaipamangalam.[2]
