Kashif Mehmood (Urdu: کاشف محمود) is a Pakistani actor. He has teamed up with Producer Humayun Saeed in many films and dramas. He is known for his role as the transvestite Babar in the Pakistani drama Moorat, directed by Kamran Qureshi.

Career

He started his acting career in 1993, working in stage plays. He was offered minor roles in TV plays. A breakthrough came when he was offered Muuno Bhai’s Zaroorat. After that he produced and acted in Ashiana and worked with senior directors and actors. He says people still recognize him as Saif from Ashiana.

Kashif owns a production academy, Ashiana Friends, and his aim is to bring up talented youngsters into the field of production. When asked why he opened the production academy, he stated:

Our youth has a lot of hidden talent in them but they don't get opportunities to utilize their talent. When I came into production, I had to face a lot of problems and I don't want youth to suffer from all this.
