Kasumpati, also called Kasumpti, is a suburban town in Shimla district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.

Geography

Kasumpati (Kasumpti) is a suburb at an elevation of 1,883 metres (6,178 ft). It is known for the Kelti Palace, as well as its apple orchards: it is one of the largest apple growing valleys in Himachal Pradesh and a significant contributor to the per capita income of the state.

Climate

Kasumpati has a cool and moderate climate. Between December and March, the city gets heavy snow and the temperature can hover around freezing point. During the summer, the climate is warmer with temperatures around thirty degrees Celsius.
