Kathleen M. McBride
Kathleen M. McBride is an American journalist and current Wealth Editor in Chief at AdvisorOne.com, a site for investment advisors owned by Summit Business Media.[1] She acquired this position after Wealth Manager magazine and Wealth ManagerWeb.com became a part of AdvisorOne.com; McBride had been the Editor-in-Chief of each property. Previously, McBride was a Senior Editor at Investment Advisor, another publication owned and published by Summit Business Media.[2] McBride has also worked in journalism on-air, in print, and on the Web. She is one of the founders of The Committee for the Fiduciary Standard, an organization with the goal of working to ensure that investors have access to financial advice that is in their best interests.[3]
McBride's career began when she entered Wall Street as a broker, bond trader and then as an investment advisor at a major bank. She was responsible for new-media startups and she developed interactive financial content with major media companies. McBride holds a BA from New York University and has completed the Investment Strategies and Portfolio Management program at The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania. She is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary with the Center for Fiduciary Studies.[4]
