Kaunas Chamber Theatre
Kaunas Chamber Theatre (Lithuanian: Kauno kamerinis teatras) is a theatre in Kaunas, Lithuania. The theatre was established in 1976 as Kaunas Youth Musical Studio.[1] Its founder and long-standing director was the Lithuanian actor and opera singer Stanislovas Rubinovas.[2] His son, Aleksandras Rubinovas, assumed its directorship in 2014.[3]
The theatre obtained the status of a professional theatre in 1986. Its name was changed in 2005 after a request by a director, who mentioned frequent inquiries about whether the productions were for children. The city approved the request.[4]
The theatre annually stages at least three premieres, including one for children, of various genres.
