Kavita Radheshyam is a Bollywood actress who debuted in director Vikram Bhatt's thriller TV series Who Done It Uljhan.[1] She primarily appears in Hindi language films and Kannada films.
Radheshyam first gained attention by participating in a semi-nude photo shoot to protest animal cruelty in India.[2] Other semi-nude photos of Radheshyam later appeared on the Internet, which Radheshyam described as altered or fake. A police complaint was filed against them in Mumbai.[3] She also rejected the wild card entry offer for the sixth series of the reality show Bigg Boss.[4]
Radheshyam was tagged as Kim Kardashian of India in a survey held by Daily Mirror along with other famous celebrities such as Angelababy from China, Lina Ayoubi from Australia, Shahira Barry from Ireland, Anastisiya Kvitko from Russia.[5]
Career
Debut and breakthrough
Radheshyam received a degree in an acting institute in 2009. She continued to act in short films made under Subhash Ghai's Whistling Woods International. Kavita debuted with noted director Faisal Saif's Hindi feature film Paanch Ghantey Mien Paanch Crore that got listed under the Top 10 Bold Film category of 2012 by The Times of India.[6] Filmmaker Rupesh Paul approached her for his film Kamasutra 3D but she refused to star in it.[7] She also appeared in Marathi remake of 1988′s classic Khoon Bhari Maang which is titled Bharla Malwat Rakhtaana.[8]
Radheshyam has frequently collaborated in films directed by Faisal Saif which includes Paanch Ghantey Mien Paanch Crore, Main Hoon Rajinikanth, Amma and under production Shraap 3D.[9]
Main Hoon Rajinikanth
Radheshyam starred in 2014's Faisal Saif's controversial film Main Hoon Rajinikanth where Tamil actor Rajinikanth moved the Madras High Court to stop the release and screening of the film [10] However, the film got released with a new changed title Main Hoon (Part-Time) Killer.
Awards
Network 7 Media Group presented their 'Critics' choice movie award for Best Actress in 2015 at 6th Annual Indian Leadership Conclave, The award was given to Kavita for her work in Bollywood which consists all her films that includes Paanch Ghantey Mien Paanch Crore, Ragini IPS, Main Hoon Rajinikanth, Amma and the canceled film For Adults Only directed by Faisal Saif.[11]
