The Ninja 400R is a Kawasaki sport bike announced for the 2011 model year, to be sold in Canada and New Zealand. No plans currently exist to bring the bike to the UK market.[3] The Kawasaki Ninja 400R is a smaller cousin to the Ninja 650R, to which it is closely related.[2][4] However, it can also be seen as a successor to the earlier Kawasaki GPz400S of the 1980s and Kawasaki EX-4 of the 1990s, both of which were only sold in Japan.
