The Assam Kaziranga University[1][2][3] [4][5] (known as Kaziranga University) is a Private university established through the Assam Kaziranga University Act, 2012[6] created under Assam Private Universities Act 2007 in the State of Assam, India in the year 2012. The University is located near the city of Jorhat, in the State of Assam, India. The university is one of its kind in the region of North East India offering courses in various fields.

Organisation

The university provides courses in Engineering, Management, Computing Sciences and Basic sciences. It has four constituent institutes:

Partnerships

It has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with UK's University of Plymouth,[4][7][8] to facilitate exchange of learning, faculty and students between the two universities and with Cardiff Metropolitan University (CMU)[9][10][11][12][13] of United Kingdom for joint research and student cum faculty exchange programme. Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences was the first Indian university to collaborate with KU when it signed the MoU in 2011.[14] Every Year KU MBA students are taken to Nanyang Technological University for a Global Immersion Program and for one month they go to Great Lakes Institute of Management for a National Immersion Program. The University has collaborated with various Industry partners for delivering domain specific training to their Engineering Students.
