Kean Lewis (born 19 September 1992) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Mohun Bagan in the I-League.
Career
Early career
Born in Patlipada, Lewis began his career with PIFA.[1] At the age of 14 he was invited to Leicester City for a trial with their academy.[1] He then came back to India to join the youth side of Mahindra United before joining Tata Football Academy in 2008. In 2010, Lewis moved to the United States where he played for the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights while completing his degree.[1]
After graduating, Lewis moved to Houston, Texas where he joined the Houston Dynamos U23 side, the development side of the Houston Dynamo.[1] He also had a spell with the Laredo Heat of the Premier Development League.
Mohun Bagan
In July 2015, Lewis came to India to trial with Mohun Bagan, the reigning I-League champions.[1] After impressing the team, Lewis signed with Bagan.[2] After good performances in the Calcutta Football League, Lewis made his professional debut for Mohun Bagan on 9 January 2016 against Aizawl. He started the match and ninety minutes as Bagan went out 3–1 winners.He was awarded Man of the Match in his second game against Bengaluru FC [3]
