Keidi Bare (born 28 August 1997) is an Albanian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for the Spanish club Atlético Madrid youth team and the Albania national under-19 football team. Prior to going at Atlético Madrid he was part of Apolonia, Fier, Albania.
Club career
Apolonia Fier
Born in Fier, Bare started his youth career for his hometown's club Apolonia Fier, a well-known team for their concentration at academies.[1] He gained promotion to the first team as a 16-year-old, where he included at the team to participate in the 2013–14 Albanian Cup - First Round match on 6 November 2013 against Tërbuni Pukë, a match in which he remained as an unused substitute.[2] He made his debut for the first team exactly three days later in the league (2013–14 Albanian First Division) match on 9 November 2013 in a 0–1 away win against Pogradeci, coming as a substitute in the 73rd minute in place of Igli Dakavelli, with his first chance being offered by the coach Elidon Demiri.[3] Following his debut then he included in the first team for other 3 matches and played in two of them, including an full 90-minutes match against Kukësi on 4 December 2013 in a 1–0 victory.[4] During the month December 2013 he had a trial at Spanish giants Atlético Madrid.
Atlético Madrid
On 26 December 2013 it was announced that Bare successfully passed the medical test at Atlético Madrid and also he was rated as the best midfielder of the mini-tournament at Tbilisi, Georgia. The only thing he was waiting to sign with Atlético Madrid was his documents at Apolonia Fier.[5]
On 9 August 2014 Bare was called up to train with the first team managed by Diego Pablo Simeone and media rated him as a future talent which can take his place at the first team.[6]
International career
Bare was first called up at the Albania national under-17 football team by the coach Džemal Mustedanagić for the 2014 UEFA European Under-17 Championship qualifying round in October 2013. In this tournament Bare played every minute in all 3 matches to help Albania U17 reach the qualification to the next Elite round. First they lost theopenign match against Romania under-17 1–0, managed to win against Belarus 2–1 with goals of Ardit Toli for the advantage in the 22nd minute and a decisive goal by Franc Bakalli in the stoppage time 80'+5 minute,[7] and then Albania U17 got a goaless draw against Finland in the closing match to secure the 2nd place in the ranking table collecting 4 points above Belarus (3) and Finland (1) and behind of Romania with full 9 points.[8]
Bare was called up again at Albania U17 to participate in the Elite round in group 4 against opponents Italy, Czech Republic and England.[9] In the opening match against Italy on 26 March 2014 he played as a Captain and scored the opening goal from a free-kick in the first half, but Italy came from behind to take the 1–2 victory.[10] Albania U17 lost other two matches without scoring any goal, they were defeat by England 1–0 and by Czech Republic 2–0.[11][12]
Following his good performances with Albania U17, in November 2014 Bare was named in the Albania national under-19 football team by the coach Altin Lala to participate in the 2015 UEFA European Under-19 Championship qualification.[13] In first two matches against Denmark and Portugal Bare played full 90-minutes match and also received a yellow card in both matches, completing the number of card for suspension and missed the closing match against Wales.[14] However Albania U19 lost all 3 matches with total of goals collected 2–7, where all two goals were scored by Esad Morina of FC Schalke 04 youth.[15]
