Keisha (born October 25, 1966)[1] is the stage name of an American erotic dancer and retired pornographic actress.[2][3] She is an AVN[4] and XRCO[5] Hall of Fame inductee.

Career

After high school, Keisha was employed as a legal secretary, then she took a job as a phone sex operator.[2][3] In February 1986, the owner of the phone sex company took her to the XRCO Awards.[2] "People kept coming up to me and asking me if I was an actress and when I’d say no, they said 'Oh, you should be.' But what really hooked me was that when Traci Lords came onstage, a girlfriend of mine from the fantasy phone call company, leaned over to me and said, 'You see that girl there, she drives a Ferrari.' Good sex and a lot of money, that sounded great to me". After the awards show, Keisha talked to everyone she could who knew anything about the business in an effort to get more information as to whether this would really be something she would like to do. After about a month, she decided to do both movies and magazines.

In March 1986, she appeared in her first adult feature entitled Reckless Passion.[1][2] A female performer had backed out of a scene, and Keisha stepped in to replace her. She went on to appear in more than 300 films and videos.[1]

In January 1987, she began stripping as a "feature dancer", making appearances at different strip clubs[2] across the United States and Canada in which she would appear as the "star attraction" for the week. She would generally perform four shows a night, along with autograph-signing sessions in which patrons could get a Polaroid picture taken with her, an autographed 8"X10" photograph, or a lap dance.

Elegant Angel sponsored a "Win a Date with Keisha Contest", where the winner, which was chosen by audience votes, got to have dinner with her then receive a full, nude body massage.[2] She is a sexologist and a California State Certified Sexological Body Worker, which involves a specialized form of educational erotic massage or Taoist Erotic Massage.[3]

Mainstream appearances

Keisha has appeared in several mainstream movies, such as her role as "Michelle the Pitching Machine" in the 2006 Artie Lange comedy Beer League.[6] Her other appearances include the C. Thomas Howell action thriller The Sweeper in 1996[7] and the Corey Haim sci-fi horror film Watchers II in 1990;[8] credited as "Raquel Rios" in both.[9] She also appeared in the 1988 sci-fi film Droid.[10]
