Kemin (previous name "Bystrovka") is an urban-type settlement in northeastern Kyrgyzstan, the administrative headquarters of Kemin District in Chui Province. It is located about 95 km eastward of Bishkek on the left bank of the Chu River in the Chuy Valley. Kemin was established in 1912.[2] Kemin received city right in 2012.
