Kenneth Arredondo (born May 18, 1962 in Savannah, Georgia), is an American IT executive. He has worked for companies in the software development sector that include IBM, Netegrity, and Unisys. He is currently the President and General Manager of Asia Pacific & Japan for CA Technologies.
Professional Life
Arredondo completed his Bachelors Degree in Business Analysis from Indiana University and an MBA at the Crummer Business School at Rollins College.[1] He also studied International Business and ASEAN Economics at the National University of Singapore.[2]
Between 1991 and 1993 Arredondo worked as Commercial Manager of the software firm CADKEY Inc for Latin America and Asia-Pacific.[2] After 1993 he began working for Unysis, before moving to IBM between 1999 and 2001 to become the Regional Manager for Latin America, Asia, and Africa for IBM's Sequent software developer.[1] Between 2001 and 2006 he then worked for Netegrity.[1] In 2006, he joined CA Technologies as Vice-President in charge of sales and General Manager of Latin America during a CA expansion project into the Latin American region.[3] Since 2006, Arredondo has been responsible for expanding CA Technologies sales strategy in Latin America.[4] In 2008 Arredondo led CA to double-digit growth during an economic downturn in the economy of Latin America,[1] and in 2009 CA's regional growth under Arredondo was more than 50%.[5] Between 2009 and 2010, Arredondo's region saw continued growth at a similar pace[6] with a focus on the expansion of the company's acquisitions and investment in cloud computing.[4] In 2011, the region over which Arredondo presided for CA included 17 different nations.[7]
Arredondo has also been involved in diplomatic and international relations missions on behalf of CA and on his own behalf. In 2008, Arredondo participated in the III World Economic Forum of Latin America in Cancún.[8] In 2009, he also participated in the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Rio de Janeiro, and in 2010 he spoke at the World Economic Forum in Cartagena, Colombia where he participated in a debate on the competitiveness of Latin America in the global economy.[9] In 2014 he was made President & General Manager of Asia Pacific & Japan, CA.[10][11]
