Kentucky Route 740 (KY 740) is a north–south state highway that traverses two counties in south-central Kentucky.
Route description
KY 740 starts at an intersection with U.S. Route 68 in Kentucky (US 68) and KY 80 in the eastern outskirts of Glasgow, the Barren County seat. The southern terminus is located around 0.2 miles (0.32 km)from US 68's intersection with the Veterans Outer Loop. The highway traverses through farmland areas of northeastern Barren County, and intersects KY 70 in Hiseville, KY 740 then continues northeastward to terminate at an intersection with KY 677 just less than a 0.1 miles (0.16 km) short of where Barren County borders Metcalfe and Hart counties just south of LeGrande.
