Kerala Smajam Model School (KSMS), Jamshedpur was started in 1981. The school is affiliated to the Council for ISC Examination, New Delhi. It is an English Medium co-educational institution preparing students for the ICSE & ISC Examinations. The school is managed by a Board of Trustees, comprising officials of Kerala Samajam Jamshedpur. In this industrial city, Keralites are a Iinguistic minority. The School is dedicated to the benefit of all students irrespective of linguistic, social or religious considerations.

The School educates students from all over the country. KSMS receives no government or private aid. Student fees are the only source of revenue. All students wear uniforms, which vary by grade level.

House System

The students are divided into four houses, namely Charity, Hope, Joy and Peace. The students from these houses compete throughout the year. The House Championship is given to the house with maximum points after the Annual Sports Day, which is generally held in early December.
