Keston and Westdal
Keston and Westdal, best known for their 2004 performance at the Montréal Jazz Festival, are an electronic music production team consisting of UK native John Keston and Bay Area transplant Nils Westdal. Although produced in 2000, their first album "Super Structure Baby" was not released until 2004 on Coup de Grace Records. Their second album "Truth is Stranger" was released in March 2007 by independent label Unearthed Music. Their sound is best described as organic electronic music, a culmination of smooth live instrumentation backed by melodic themes and groove-heavy samples.
