Kevin Daniel Williamson (born September 18, 1972) is the roving correspondent for National Review magazine and writes the "Exchequer" blog at National Review Online.[1] He is also the theater critic for The New Criterion. He was previously deputy managing editor at National Review.
He is the author of The Politically Incorrect Guide to Socialism (2011, Regnery),[2] The End Is Near and It's Going to Be Awesome (2013, HarperCollins/Broadside Books),[3][4] The Dependency Agenda (2013, Encounter Books),[5] and The Case against Trump (2015, Encounter Books),[6] and has contributed chapters to The New Leviathan: The State Vs. the Individual in the 21st Century (2013, Encounter Books)[7] and Future Tense: The Lessons of Culture in an Age of Upheaval (2013, Encounter Books).[8]
Williamson previously worked at the Mumbai-based Indian Express Group, the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, Journal Register Newspapers, and the Institute for Humane Studies at George Mason University, where he directed the journalism and communication programs, and as an adjunct professor at The King's College.[9]
Williamson was the editor of The Bulletin, a former daily newspaper in Philadelphia.[10]
Criticisms
Libertarian philosopher David Gordon criticizes The Politically Incorrect Guide to Socialism, writing "Williamson lacks the ability to report facts accurately and his work contains preposterous errors.”[11] An article in Slate (magazine) criticizes his stance on transgender identity.[12]
