Kevin Doyle (political consultant)
Kevin Doyle is a Partner of Wexford Strategies, a government affairs firm which has offices in Washington, DC and Jacksonville, Florida. He is also the Executive Director for the Consumer Energy Alliance of Florida.[1] He was recently appointed by Governor Rick Scott to the Board of Directors for Workforce Florida[2] and in 2013 was promoted to Vice Chairman of the Performance Council which allows him to serve as a Member of the Workforce Florida Executive Committee.[3]
Past Experience
Kevin was the State Director for U.S. Senator Mel Martinez. where he served as the senior staffer in Florida where he was responsible for briefing the Senator on all state issues and policy initiatives.[4] He was also responsible for acting as a liaison between federal agencies in Washington, D.C. and state government agencies and leaders in Tallahassee.[5]
Prior to working for the Senator, Kevin had worked as a consultant for the New Zealand National Party in Wellington, New Zealand and for the Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives in Tallahassee, Florida.[6]
Kevin has also worked in Washington for 6 years as Deputy Director for the Bush Administration at the 21st Century Workforce Office in the U.S. Department of Labor. Prior to that he worked at the White House in the Office of Presidential Personnel and also worked on Capitol Hill. On the Hill, he was the Administrative Director for the U.S. Congressional Joint Economic Committee under the leadership of U.S. Senator Connie Mack. He also worked as a political researcher both in Washington, DC for the Republican National Committee and in London, England for the Conservative Party.[7]
Kevin was born in Louisville, Kentucky but grew up in the Jacksonville, Florida area. He was a student at the University of North Florida where he graduated in 1995 with a degree in Political Science.[8] He also studied abroad in Madrid, Spain and Moscow, Russia.[9]
