The Khaitan school is spread across approximately 6.50 acres of land adorned with a lush green landscape, huge play field for track and field events and a host of outdoor sports.

The built up area of approximately 1,50,000 sq. ft. is rationally divided into five blocks – A & D Block for Pre-Primary and Primary Wings, B & C Block for Middle, Secondary and Senior Secondary Wings and E-Block for sports complex which houses the swimming pool, air-conditioned gym and air-conditioned dance/yoga hall.

About Us

Founded in April 1995, the Khaitan School (formerly, Khaitan Public School, Noida) is sprawled over more than six acres of a lush green campus, an idyllic setting for its faculty and students to bond, converse and share the joys of learning. Its vibrant ambiance, picturesque surroundings and state-of-the-art infrastructure provide a stimulating environment for the all-round growth and development of our children.

7TH February ’16 :-

Ms. Manju Wazir, HOD-Dance has a long association with Jammu and Kashmir state. She was invited there by Red Cross Society to facilitate her for her contribution towards Indian Classical dance on Feb.07, 2016 at Gulshan ground, Jammu. The honourable Governor of Jammu and Kashmir state Sh.MN Vora, was the chief guest of the event. She performed their and was awarded the trophy by the chief guest. Many dignitaries were present on the occasion.

29th November 16 :-

Dr. Damyanti Sharma, P.G.T Hindi, H.O.D. (Hindi & Sanskrit Deptt) is Co-Writer of the novel ‘Khatte-Meethe Rishte.’She was felicitated by Mr. Saran Ghai ‘Founder of Vishav Hindi Sansthaan Canada ‘ in a samman samaroh organized in Delhi on 29 November 2015 .The book has been forwarded to the ‘Guinness book of records ‘

Curriculum

The School firmly believes that a close synergy between parents, students and teachers is crucial for the overall well-being of our children. Hence Parent-Teacher meetings, Orientation Programmes and Career Counselling sessions are regularly conducted within the school premises. Moreover, parent and teacher representation in the School Management Committee enables them to voice their views and are joint decision makers in our policies and programmes.

Health and Safety

Security Features

   Fire Safety Equipment including fire alarm, fire sprinklers, hose pipes and fire extinguishers are fixed at appropriate places in all buildings.
   CCTV cameras are fixed at strategic locations all across the buildings to monitor movement of visitors, staff and students.
   Boundary wall of 8-10 feet height with concertina wire is in place.
   Complete power backup is provided with two Gensets of a total capacity of 375 KVA.
   Positioning of guards including lady guards at strategic points within the school premises and at the three gates is ensured.
   A reverse-osmosis (RO) water plant is installed to ensure pure and safe drinking water for our students and staff members. The same water is also used for cooking in the school cafetria.
   Disaster Management Team is appointed with designated duties in case of eventualities or disasters. Apart from fire extinguishing system being in place, exit plans for students are legibly displayed in all corridors to enable students in fast exit from the building.
   Mock drills are undertaken from time to time for staff and students. Class IV employees are also trained to manage exigencies.
   Safety in School Buses is the utmost priority of the school.
       Check list for safety features is provided to teachers.
       Boarding and Deboarding is supervised by the accompanying teacher.
       Maids/Lady guards/Attendants are deputed on all routes.

Infirmary

A completely revamped, air conditioned infirmary with 14-beds is available to all students with separate sections for boys and girls. (Girls also have access to a dedicated wash room attached to the infirmary). A qualified Doctor and Nurse are available to provide first-aid and tend to the sick or injured children. Medical check-ups are carried out regularly and all medical records are made available to parents, via our online E-governance system.

Cafeteria

Students enjoy a host of nutritious snacks and beverages at the school cafeteria. The school Doctor and Nurse monitor the quality of ingredients used by the contractor. All snacks are cooked in the cooking area attached to the cafeteria under hygienic conditions.

Sports

Sports is an integral part of our curriculum where students participate and excel in a range of activities. Qualified coaches impart intensive and exclusive training to our children in various extensive sporting activities. Team games have significantly benefited the children in being self-confident, pro-active, energetic and chasing their dream of winning and participating in healthy competition. Moreover, leadership, responsibility, discipline, confidence, loyalty and team spirit are largely instilled through participation in sports.

Sports Facilities

   A large play field is provided with facilities such as 200 metres track to conduct track events and pitches to conduct field events. The field also has facilities for outdoor sports such as hockey, football, cricket, volley ball etc. There is a separate basket-ball court and two tennis courts.
   For our Pre-Primary and Primary students, we have two large outdoor play areas with rubberized flooring.The Rides are manufactured by one of the best suppliers in India, such as slides, swings, climbers, tunnel slides etc. The play area available is to keep students energized, enhance their gross motor skills and keep them excited and happy.
   Swimming and Splash Pools
   A Half Olympic Size Swimming Pool, (25m x 12m) with qualified coaches and life guards is available for boys and girls, separately. To beat the heat, a splash pool with water fountains is available for children of Pre-Primary and Classes I and II (water level is maximum 12 inches in view of safety).
   Skating Rink
   Our children experience a sense of space and freedom and are able to channelise their energies and invigorate their spirit. For senior students, there is a large skating rink which has produced national level players from our school. An additional skating rink for children of Classes Nursery and Class II is also available near the Primary building to ensure adequate time, attention and safety for the little ones.
   Air-conditioned Gymnasium
   To popularise the importance of physical fitness among our children, a centrally air-conditioned Gym (Life Fitness equipment) has been set up with air-conditioned changing rooms with lockers. Girls and boys can avail separate training facilities with qualified trainers.
   Shooting Range
   Shooting inspires children to explore a new sport and improve their powers of concentration. A 9-lane shooting range (10 meters) equipped with imported and Indian guns is provided for the children who are trained by a national level shooting coach.
   Yoga and Meditation Hall
   Yoga classes reinforce the good health regime and are instrumental for all round growth and spiritual development of our children. Meditation with soothing music gives peace of mind to our children and energy to face the day’s curriculum.
   Toy Train
   A toy train has been provided for children from Nursery to Class II, to enjoy fun filled rides and free interaction with their peers.
   Indoor Free-Play Activity Hall
   An indoor free-play air-conditioned activity hall of approximately 3,500sq.ft. has been designed for children from Nursery to Class II, so that they can play with interactive teaching aids, Montessori equipment and apparatus for role play, to sharpen their creative powers and enhance their motor and cognitive skills.

Auditorium and AV Hall

An air-conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of 200 people is used for school functions and festive occasions.

An air-conditioned audio-visual hall is available for students for debates, lectures, discussions, seminars, group classes etc. The hall is equipped for 120 people, and is also smart-class enabled with a computer, projector, interactive board, mics and speakers.

Library

   The school has two libraries (Junior and Senior) which are very well stocked with more than 15,000 books – fiction, non-fiction, auto-biographies, biographies, subject related encyclopedias, etc. Students spend quality time undertaking reference work, selecting their favourite author, browsing through new titles and updating themselves through a host of journals and magazines covering commerce, finance, science, general knowledge, politics, nature, art, sports and entertainment.
   The senior library has been fully revamped with brand new furniture, computers for reference work and has also been air-conditioned to provide children with a quiet and comfortable environment for reference work.
   To reach out to classrooms, the junior school has initiated classroom libraries for Classes I and II which consist of fiction and non-fiction books. These libraries are utilised by students under the supervision of the Class Teacher.

Information Technology

Five computer labs equipped with the latest course relevant software are made available to conduct CLP and CAL classes. All classes of Nursery & Prep are also equipped with white boards, projectors, computers and a multimedia setup for an engaging curriculum. In addition to this, Classes I to V are also equipped with interactive boards.

Laboratories

Science Labs: The Investigative Research Centres

Our state of the art labs – Physics, Chemistry, Biology, General Science are suitably furnished, are equipped with the relevant equipment, apparatus, computer, white board and projector. In August 2015, the senior school Physics, Chemistry and Biology Labs were completely renovated and refurbished with the latest furniture and fixtures. Safety of children being of paramount importance, all the three labs have been provided with two exits. Chemistry lab is specially equipped with hand showers at each desk and a common shower to combat acid/chemical burns in case of exigency.

Home Science Lab

The well-furnished and equipped Home Science Lab addresses practical nuances of a healthy and scientific living. Students conduct practicals with a focus on nutrition and balanced diet.

Math Labs: Thinking out of Box

The Primary and Senior wings are equipped with relevant teaching aids. Students are always motivated to perceive learning as fun-filled, analytical, practical and exciting.

Language Labs

Language labs of both the Primary and Senior wings are equipped with computers, projectors, interactive boards and speakers to screen relevant movies or play music applicable to the class level to enhance speaking and listening skills and conduct ASL programmes.

Visual Arts

   Indian Music Studios
   Students are provided with four studios for Indian Classical Vocal Music, Folk Music, Group songs etc. Students are also trained in Indian Traditional Instruments. We believe that apart from nurturing talent, Indian Music is important for children to be firmly rooted to India’s culture and heritage.
   Western Music Studios
   Four Western Music Studios for Vocal and Instrumental have been provided keeping pace with contemporary times and global outlook. Western Music Classes, both Vocal and Instrumental are very popular amongst our students. School’s rock band has brought laurels to the School in a number of inter school rock band competitions.
   Indian Dance Studios
   Two Indian Dance Studios have been provided to train and nurture students in Indian Classical Dance Forms and Indian Folk Dances. The aim is to promote and preserve Indian Culture and Tradition.
   Western Dance Studios
   Three Western Dance Studios have been provided to train the children in Western and Contemporary Dance Forms i.e. hip-hop, jazz, salsa etc. These Dance Forms are very popular amongst the students.
   Drama Rooms
   To explore and nurture students’ talent in theatre and to expose them to the nuances of Drama, English Speech and Personality Development classes are held by Helen O’ Grady Academy (optional).
   Amphi Theatre
   Children of Classes Nursery to Class II perform and present small skits, plays, rendition of songs, poems etc. in the aesthetically designed Amphi Theatre for their age groups.

Pre-Primary Curriculum

The child centric curriculum in Pre-Primary is in accordance with Playway and Montessori method blended with activity-based teaching as advocated by Jean Piaget, John Dewy, Friedrich Frobel and the Reggio Emilia approach.

The curriculum is designed to cater to the individual potential and interests of children.

An array of activities like painting, singing, dancing, story telling with props, skating, karate, train ride and various competitions and celebrations provide ample opportunities to develop and showcase their creativity.

A variety of purposeful activities promote firsthand experiences, useful for learning, which follows simultaneously from the books and worksheets.
