Khanyi Dhlomo
KlllKhanyi Dhlomo (born 17 December 1974 in Umlazi, KwaZulu-Natal) is a South African TV Host and the founder and CEO of Ndalo Media (in partnership with Media24) and Ndalo Luxury Ventures.

Early life
Khanyi Dhlomo is the daughter of Oscar Dumisani Dhlomo and Nokuthula Venetia Dhlomo and is the youngest and only girl of four children.[2] She became the first black girl at Girls Collegiate (now Wykeham), in Pietermaritzburg, where she won the Thandi Face Cover Girl competition at the age of 16[3] which was her first introduction and is what sparked her interest in media.

Early life

Career
to the needs of a younger, emerging generation of women, at the age of 22, Khanyi was appointed editor of the magazine and tasked to do just that. Within a year of her appointment, True Love's circulation doubled[6] from 70,000 to 140,000 and the magazine became the most widely read women's magazine in the country. Along with Richard Steinmetz, Khanyi hosted the Miss World 1997 pageant.
After 8 years at True Love with a circulation of 1.9 million, Khanyi stepped down from the magazine, following her failed marriage and relocated to France where she worked as manager of South Africa's Tourism Board in Paris. In 2007 she graduated from Harvard Business School with an MBA which is where she met her husband Chinezi Chijioke and Jonathan Newhouse, Chairman of Condé Nast Publications (publisher of Vogue magazine), who gave Khanyi insights into the workings of the magazine business.
Entrepreneurship
On her return home to South Africa she founded Ndalo Media in partnership with Naspers (under the Media24 subsidiary), Africa's largest media company, and successfully published Destiny in October 2007, in 2008 Kanyi launched DestinyConnect.com which serves as the online extensions of Destiny and in July 2009 Ndalo Media launched Destiny Man (edited by Kojo Baffoe) and it's online extension DestinyMan.com. In 2013, Khanyi launched Luminance[7] (described as a "luxury and contemporary fashion and lifestyle department store") which was the first of its kind in Africa, under Ndalo Luxury Ventures
