Khutauna is a small town in the Madhubani district in northern Bihar state, India. There are 18 panchayats in Khutauna block. Khutauna is under Phulparas subdivision bearing its own post office, block, police station and a railway station. The distance between Khutauna and its district headquarters is 45.2 km. Khutauna is very near to the Nepal border.

There are five banks in Khutauna including State Bank of India and Central Bank of India. Khutauna is well-developed in the wholesale medicine business. There is a high school in Khutauna for education up to intermediate and CMJ College at Donwari for higher secondary education. The high school of Khutauna is one of the top high schools in Madhubani district. There are many private CBSE based English schools in Khutauna for better education, too.
