Kingdom Bound is an annual Christian music festival held at Darien Lake near Buffalo, New York, near the end of July (previously had taken place in August). The festival marked its 25th anniversary in 2011.[1] The festival traditionally attracts many of the most popular bands in American contemporary Christian music, such as Casting Crowns in 2011.[2] Others who have played at Kingdom Bound include nominees and award-winning artists like Francesca Battistelli, Mercy Me and Lecrae. In 1988 Christian music pioneer Larry Norman performed at the festival, including a performance of The Great American Novel which was captured on film.[3]
