Kingsley College, Melbourne
Kingsley College is a Wesleyan Methodist Church of Australia school of theology located in Melbourne, Australia. Along with Tabor Victoria it offers ministerial, teacher training and Christian counselling. The college was opened by Kingsley Ridgway in 1948. It was originally known as the Wesleyan Methodist Bible College of Australia; in 1974 its name was changed to honour its founder. Students come from a variety of denominational and national backgrounds.
Theological education is provided by
- Booth College;[1]
- Nazarene Theological College; and
- Tabor College Victoria (from 2008). Tabor took the majority of Kingsley's staff and faculty, gifted the contents of its library to Tabor. Kingsley now focuses specifically on ministerial development for the Wesleyan Methodist Church of Australia.[2]
