Kioumars Hashemi (کیومرث هاشمی in Persian, born 17 July 1965) is an Iranian businessman and executive chairman who currently serves as President of the National Olympic Committee of Iran.[1] He is a former deputy head of Physical Education Organization from 2002 to 2005 and also deputy Minister of Education under Hamid-Reza Haji Babaee from 2009 to 2012.
He was also an amateur football player, playing in his home city of Malayer when he was a teenager. After he was graduated from Sharif University, he began coaching in schools in Tehran. He later became an employer of Ministry of Education.
