Kleidi Cave
Klithi or Kleidi Cave (Greek: Σπήλαιο Κλειδί) is a cave located north of the village of Kleidonia in the Ioannina regional unit, Greece. It is located on the north bank of the Voidomatis river. The Megalakkos cave is located 500 m east.
Archeology
English archeological research that was conducted between 1983 and 1986 revealed the cave with a height of 2 m. It contained bone and stone, animal and other bones which date back between 20,000 and 12,000 years ago, and are part of the Paleolithic Era in Greece.
Analogous findings with these were found by the same archeological team in the neighboring Megalakkos cave.
