Koji Matsui (politician)
Koji Matsui (松井 孝治 Matsui Kōji, born April 24, 1960) is a Japanese politician of the Democratic Party of Japan, a member of the House of Councillors in the Diet (national legislature). A native of Kyoto, Kyoto and graduate of the University of Tokyo, he joined the Ministry of International Trade and Industry, receiving a master's degree from Northwestern University while in the ministry. Leaving the ministry in 2000, he was elected to the House of Councillors for the first time in 2001.
