Konde Deshmukh

Konde Deshmukh is one of the Maratha "96K" clans of western India. Deshmukh is an honorary title in the Maratha community.

Origin

The Kondes are a subclan of the Dalvi clan of Marathas. The Dalvis are from Lodorva (Rajasthan) and Parmar Rajput Branch. As Dalvis settled in Maharashtra some of their families moved to Desh (in western Maharashtra) and gained the name of Konde and served Bahamani Sultanates of Deccan. The Kondes was granted the title of Deshmukh and Patil being watandars by the Sultanates.This family is also well known for their political power and business owning in such businesses as hotels and real estate.
