Kongōshō-ji
Kongōshō-ji (金剛證寺) is a Rinzai school Zen temple on Mount Asama in Ise, Mie Prefecture, Japan. Founded in 825 by Kōbō Daishi, it is said to protect Ise Jingū from the northeast.[1][2]
Buildings
The seven by six bay, yosemune-zukuri Hondō (1609), with hinoki bark roof, is an Important Cultural Property.[3][4]

- Artefacts from the Kyōgamine sutra mound (1159–1173) (National Treasure).[15] These include bronze sutra containers, mirrors with Amida and the Amida triad, and ceramics.[16][17] The area of funerary monuments where these items were found has been designated an Historic Site.[18][19]
