Koru, Kenya
Koru is a village in Kisumu County, Kenya. It forms an electoral ward of Muhoroni Constituency and Muhoroni town council.[1] Koru is also a location in the Muhoroni division.[2] Elevation 1540m.
Transport
It is served by a station on a lightly built branchline of the national railway system. In 2009, this branchline is to be upgraded.[3] Koru is located between the stations of Muhoroni and Fort Ternan.[4]
Paleontology
The first fossil remains of Proconsul, primate species were found from Koru in 1909 by a gold prospector.
Famous people from Koru
- Robert Ouko, Kenyan foreign minister, who was murdered near his home in Koru and his body was found at the nearby Got Alila hill.
