Kostas Koufogiorgos

Kostantinos "Kostas" Koufogiorgos (born 14 February 1972 in Arta, Greece) is a Greek-German political cartoonist and painter.

Biography

While working as a cartoonist for several newspapers and magazines; Koufogiorgois began studying economics at the University of Athens in 1990. His first work of art was published in 1989 in the political magazine ODIGITIS.[1] Kostas Koufogiorgos has worked for numerous political and business papers, as well as for more than 20 magazines in Greece. Until 2014 he worked for the greek Newspaper Eleftherotypia. In 2008, he started to work for German media.

Today he is the cartoonist of the weekly newspaper Neue Rheinische Zeitung.[2] and Allgemeine Hotel- und Gastronomie-Zeitung. He publishes his works of art in other daily newspapers, such as Financial Times Deutschland (until 2012), Handelsblatt (until 2010), Passauer Neue Presse, Mitteldeutsche Zeitung, Lübecker Nachrichten, Schweriner Volkszeitung, Magdeburger Volksstimme, Weser Kurier, Fuldaer Zeitung, Tageblatt (Luxemburg] and others and magazines as Nebelspalter and Der Spiegel.

Koufogiorgos is living in Stuttgart, Germany.
