Kuldeep Kumar

Kuldeep Kumar was born at Majhin in the district of Kangra on 12 April 1950. He is the ex-Industry minister of Himachal Pradesh. He was born in a family of Congressmen, and was Joint Secretary of the following organisations-

He has been the member of D.C.C., Una, since 1992. He got elected to State Assembly first in 1993 and was re-elected in 1998 and 2003. He was Deputy Speaker from 16 December 1993 to 17 October 1995, and was inducted into the Council of Ministers as Minister of State for Co-operation (with Independent Charge) and Higher Education on October 18, 1995 and remained at the post up to 24 December 1997.
He was the Minister for Co-operation (at Cabinet Rank) from March 6, 2003 and re-designated as Industries Minister on August 8, 2004 along with the portfolio of Co-operation Department. He also remained the President of HPPCC from 24 November 2004 to 25 July 2005.[1]

Personal Life

Kumar's father was Badri Dass Dhiman. He graduated from DAV College, Hoshiarpur. He was married to Shashi Bala on 5 May 1974.
