Kunkapata (Aymara kunka throat, pata step,[2] Quechua kunka throat, pata elevated place / above, at the top / edge, bank (of a river), shore,[3][4] hispanicized spelling Cuncapata) is a mountain in the Willkanuta mountain range in the Andes of Peru, about 5,400 metres (17,717 ft) high. It is located in the Cusco Region, Canchis Province, Pitumarca District. Kunkapata lies southwest of the mountain Hatun Ñañu Punta, north of the lake Siwinaqucha and southeast of Chumpi.[1]
