Kurdistan Freedom Party, (Kurdish: پارتی ئازادیی کوردستان - Party Azady Kurdistan), abbreviated as PAK is a Kurdish political party in Iranian Kurdistan and Iraqi Kurdistan, which seeks the attainment of Kurdish national rights within a democratic federal republic of Iran.
PAK has armed Peshmerga units, named Kurdistan Freedom Eagles for East Kurdistan (HAK-R). Those Peshmerga have been involved in Iraqi civil war[1] On April 2016, HAK-R attacked Iranian government security forces in Sanandaj during annual Army Day Parade of Iran, claiming to end the cease-fire and resume to armed struggle.[2]
