Kurichithanam is a village in Kottayam district in the state of Kerala, India.[1] Late. K. R. Narayanan former President of India born in this village.

As of 2001 India census, Kurichithanam revenue village had a population of 9158 with 4581 males and 4577 females.[1]

It was formerly known as kurichithanam L.P School. It was the school where Late K.R Narayanan started his school education .When he became India's President name of the school changed to K.R.Narayanan L.P School
